San Jose Sharks star Macklin Celebrini was scratched just before his team’s game at the Dallas Stars on Monday night due to a lower-body injury.
Celebrini may have been hurt during pregame warmups, as he was seen skating with teammates in San Jose’s line rushes as usual.
Ty Dellandrea drew in for Celebrini. The veteran center spent his first four NHL seasons with Dallas before joining the Sharks ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Celebrini, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft, had a breakout second season in 2025-26, tallying 45 goals and 70 assists (115 points) and playing all 82 games. Through two games this season, he recorded five assists and no goals.
