Bucs S Whitehead leaves with shoulder injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Jordan Whitehead exited Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers in the third quarter due to a left shoulder injury.

Whitehead was injured early in the quarter when he made a tackle on Green Bay running back Jamaal Williams.

Whitehead had five tackles and two forced fumbles before leaving. Earlier in the third quarter, he forced Packers running back Aaron Jones to fumble and Tampa Bay linebacker Devin White recovered to set up a touchdown that gave the Buccaneers a 28-10 lead.

Jones suffered a chest injury on the play in which he fumbled. The Packers say he is questionable to return. Jones has 27 yards on six rushes and four catches for 7 yards.

Green Bay defensive tackle Tyler Lancaster (ankle) also was injured in the third quarter. He was deemed questionable to return.
