After spending last season in the minors, Fabian Lysell is getting another crack at the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche.
Colorado signed the forward to a one-year contract on Monday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Avalanche acquired Lysell from the Boston Bruins on June 27 in exchange for forward Ivan Ivan.
Lysell, 23, was a first-round draft pick (No. 21 overall) by the Bruins in 2021, and he got his first run in the NHL during the 2024-25 season. He tallied one goal and two assists across 12 games.
With AHL affiliate Providence in 2025-26, Lysell recorded 42 points (17 goals, 25 assists) over 57 regular-season games. He also suited up for Sweden at the IIHF World Junior Championships in 2022 and 2023.
