Dallas Mavericks forward Anthony Davis will return to action Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN reported.
Davis has missed the last 14 games, sidelined since sustaining a calf strain Oct. 29 vs. the Indiana Pacers. His return reportedly will come in his first game against his former team since Los Angeles traded him to Dallas in February in the blockbuster deal involving Luka Doncic.
The Mavericks have gone 3-11 during Davis’ absence and possess the second-worst record in the Western Conference at 5-14.
Davis, 32, has appeared in just 14 games (all starts) since he was traded to Dallas, averaging 20.3 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.
The 10-time All-Star, four-time first-team All-NBA and three-time first-team All-Defensive player is averaging 24.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over 792 games (785 starts) spanning 14 seasons.
