Five-star forward Baba Oladotun of Maryland has committed to the Terrapins over Kentucky, Arkansas and Georgetown.
The 6-foot-10 senior in the Class of 2026 is ranked No. 10 nationally by the 247Sports composite. He ranked No. 1 in the 2027 class by ESPN before reclassifying in August.
From James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Md., Oladotun is coach Buzz Williams’ highest-rated recruit since he was at Virginia Tech in 2017.
“My relationship with Buzz Williams and the staff was great,” Oladotun said, per ESPN. “Coach Buzz is a realist. Sometimes, he is going to be raw. He is going to push you hard, break you down and build you up. He has developed players like Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder.”
Oladotun has two sisters who attend Maryland and his trainer is former Terrapins star and NBA forward Walt Williams.
He announced his commitment Wednesday on a YouTube livestream.
“Staying home just hits different,” Oladotun told ESPN. “The school is only 20 minutes away. I am a big family guy. I am a local player and have a chance to represent my home school. When the new staff got the job, they reached out right away. When I reclassed, they recruited me even harder.”
He averaged 13.2 points and 5.8 rebounds on the Nike EBYL circuit over the spring and summer.
