Rookie forward Jarred Vanderbilt has signed a multi-year contract with the Denver Nuggets, the team announced Wednesday.
Multiple reports said the contract was for three years and $4 million.
Denver selected the 6-foot-9 Vanderbilt, who played at Kentucky, with the 41st pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old played just one season for the Wildcats, and he averaged 5.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 17.0 minutes a game.
Vanderbilt, 19, played for the U.S. U16 National Team in 2015. That team won the gold medal at the 2015 FIBA U16 Americas. In 2017 he was a member of the USA Junior National Select Team at the Nike Hoop Summit. He was a five-star recruit from the Houston area in the Class of 2017, according to 247Sports.
